High School Counseling Team:

The high school guidance counselors are committed to providing students in grades nine through twelve with guidance, support, and assistance through the academic programs, extra-curricular activities, work-based learning, counseling, and health services. The counselors are assigned to students by the alphabetical letter of their last name.

Future Freshman Parent Night Presentation
This presentation will help future 9th Grade students and parents to:
  • Read their transcript
  • Understand the difference between graduation requirements and A-G requirements
  • Learn how to recover credits
  • Understand the 4 year college entrance requirements and timeline
  • Learn how to plan for and pick high school courses
  • Learn about programs and opportunities for high school students
FINANCIAL AID

 

12th Graders applying for financial aid must complete the FAFSA.
 
California public high schools are required to submit a Cal Grant high school Grade Point Average (GPA) for all graduating seniors, unless the student or parent has opted out of the submission process, no later than October 1. If you would like to opt out, please complete the Cal Grant GPA Opt Out Form and submit it to your counselor.

Undocumented students are eligible to apply for Financial Aid through the California Dream Application. More information about the application and the California Dream Act can be viewed here: http://www.csac.ca.gov/dream_act.asp
FAFSA APPLICATION WORKSHOPS AT CERRITOS COLLEGE 
Cerritos College provides various opportunities to help students and families to complete the FAFSA. Information on those specific dates and workshops can be seen here.
